Matthew 5:38-44
“Agape” your enemies- determine to do good toward them
– Jesus doesn’t insist that we feel affection toward them
– we may never come to actually ‘like’ them
God sets the example-
– He makes the sun to rise on the evil and the good (Matthew 5:45)
– He sends the rain on the just and the unust
– While we were yet sinners, Jesus died for us and paid the penalty for our sin (Romans 5:8)
